This product, also known as 1,3-propane sultone, abbreviation 1,3-PS, CAS No. 1120-71-4, molecular formula: C₃H₆O₃S, molecular weight: 122.14. It is a colorless transparent liquid or needle-like crystal with a density of 1.392, melting point of 31±1°C, boiling point of 180°C, flash point of 110°C, refractive index (40°C) of 1.4500±0.005. It is soluble in ethanol and acetone and has the properties of a general sultone.
