I. Physical and Chemical Properties
Fluoroethylene Carbonate (FEC), also known as 4-fluoro-1,3-dioxolan-2-one, English name: Fluoroethylene carbonate, abbreviation FEC, molecular formula C₃H₃FO₃, molecular weight: 106.0525, CAS No.: 114435-02-8. It is a colorless transparent liquid with a boiling point of 210°C (lit.) and a melting point of 20°C (lit.).
II. Quality Specifications
| No. | Item | Standard | Unit |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Appearance | Colorless transparent liquid | —— |
| 2 | Purity | ≥99.99 | Wt% |
| 3 | Moisture | ≤30 | ppm |
| 4 | Color (APHA), Hazen | ≤30 | Hazen |
| 5 | Total Chlorine | ≤30 | ppm |
III. Applications
Mainly used as an electrolyte additive for lithium-ion batteries. It forms a better-performing SEI film, creating a dense structural layer without increasing impedance, preventing further electrolyte decomposition and improving the low-temperature performance of the electrolyte.
IV. Packaging Specifications
20kg/drum, 200kg/drum
