I. Physical and Chemical Properties

This product is a mixture containing either approximately 55% iron(III) p-toluenesulfonate and 45% n-butanol, or 60% iron(III) p-toluenesulfonate and 40% ethanol. It is a reddish-brown liquid with a characteristic odor, readily soluble in water, methanol, and n-butanol, and exhibits strong acidity.

II. Quality Specifications

• Appearance: Reddish-brown liquid

• Content (calculated as iron salt): 50–60%

• Specifications: 60% iron(III) p-toluenesulfonate ethanol solution; 55% iron(III) p-toluenesulfonate n-butanol solution. Custom specifications available upon customer request.

III. Applications

Used in organic synthesis, conductive polymer material synthesis, and as an oxidant for solid-state capacitors.
